Introducing SDATA & FDATA Inc.

After a decade of being a driving force in the development and delivery of Open Banking and Open Finance in ecosystems across Europe, North America, Latin America and ANZ, the Financial Data and Technology Association (FDATA Global) is pleased to announce a transition designed to ensure the maximum value and effectiveness for members and clients in current markets of operation, namely Europe and North America.

This will be delivered by two separate legal entities:

  • A newly incorporated FDATA Inc. in North America will continue the impactful engagement on behalf of the membership for both Canada and the United States in the respective journeys for Consumer Directed Finance and Open Banking under D-F 1033, alongside other key market imperatives such as payment modernisation.

  • In the U.K. and Europe, the mission will be assumed by the Smart Data and Technology Alliance (SDATA), delivering advocacy and consultative services congruent with the market needs and opportunities evolving beyond Open Banking and Open Finance.

While these entities exist as separate organisations, they share a history for potent data advocacy in the interest of the end consumer, an ethical market and healthy competition, and regulatory frameworks that benefit the consumer and foster a robust and sustainable data sharing ecosystem.

Companies with interests in North America should follow the activity and updates from FDATA Inc.; for those with interests in the U.K. and Europe, please connect with SDATA.
